Sheffield - The Balls on Barker's Pool

By TheTT · 14 Nov, 2018 · Sheffield

A quiet moment in Barker's Pool before the crowds arrive, where mirror-polished sculptures reflect the city's industrial soul against a backdrop of old charm and bold new architecture.A perfect snapshot of Sheffield's transformation from steel city to stylish urban destination.

Nice one, pal! Did you know that the stainless spheres represent rain drops and they are made of steel which is Sheffield's heritage as Steel City?

Cheers, buddy! Actually I did google about it... it was originally a walled reservoir designed to collect natural springs and provide a constant supply of water for the town...
